Who We Are
Westie Rescue of Western Pennsylvania serves West Highland White Terriers (Westies) in need, and helps potential Westie adopters, foster families, and volunteers in Western PA. We help dogs from the western side of the state (Pittsburgh, Erie) to the central areas around Harrisburg and York. We sometimes work with dogs in Ohio and upper New York (around Buffalo) as well.
We are associated with Westie Rescue USA and work with them when dogs need help outside of our area.

What We Do
|
We save dogs that have been abandoned, mistreated, or given up by their owners. Instead of being government-run like many shelters, WRWPA is powered by big hearts and generous donations from people who love Westies.
Our dogs come from local shelters, puppy mills, and are surrendered by families who can no longer take care of them. We give them medical care and behavior training, if needed, so they can find a new forever family dedicated to caring for them for the rest of their lives. If you want to adopt, volunteer, or surrender a dog, fill out the forms on the Adopt/Surrender page. Or, use the contact form on the home page to ask a question or get more information. |
